Where were you when you accepted your role at Christie Finance?
I was made redundant at RBS and after having a couple of months’ off to recharge my batteries, I joined Christie Finance.
What was your first job?
I worked for a Consultancy Firm that was contracted by Taj Group of Hotels to stay at their properties for 2 – 3 days and evaluate every aspect of the guest experience. It was an amazing role where I travelled to fancy hotels followed by compiling a 200 page report assessing the experience.
In a couple of sentences, can you tell us a bit about your job at Christie Finance?
My role at Christie Finance involves securing competitive funding options for clients looking to acquire or refinance their business.
What’s your favourite thing about Christie Finance?
Hands down the people. Great bunch of people to work for and with.
What's a favourite project that you’ve worked on at Christie Finance so far?
Every project is close to my heart as I am so invested in it. But the ones that stand out are clients that started working with me from their first acquisition and we are currently working on their eighth Care Home purchase.
What’s been the biggest challenge of your career so far?
2018 was a rocky start for me for various reasons but I picked myself and took one day at a time and turned a corner which for me is a reminder that I can get through everything life throws at me.
What’s been a highlight of your career so far?
The biggest highlight is my desire to excel and always be better than I was yesterday. This mindset has helped me get better at everything I do and keep persevering.
How has the industry changed since you started at Christie Finance?
The funding landscape has constantly evolved and there is additional red tape in the sectors I support. There is a greater need now more than ever to handhold clients through the process.
Tell us a bit about your life outside work – what are your hobbies?
Outside of work, I have a beautiful family and my three year old keeps me on my toes. In her current 'threenager' phase, all our hobbies are the activities she loves to do.
What’s your hometown? Where do you live now?
I was born and raised in Mumbai, India and moved to Manchester in 2005.
Where’s the best place you’ve been on holiday?
Anywhere with good company is amazing but Venice stands out as my husband proposed to me on this break.
What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Not putting things back where you got them from.
If you could live and work in any city, where would you go?
I would move to Dubai or Abu Dhabi for the weather and vibe.
What would be your desert island meal?
Definitely a Nando's!

What is your favourite movie quote?
Nobody owes nobody nothing! – Rocky Balboa.
What is your biggest fear?
Losing a loved one.
