Where were you when you accepted your role at Christie Finance?

In a Shoe Shop buying my eldest child’s first pair of shoes

What was your first job?

A Weekend Cleaner in Virgin Active – though the official title was Membercare Assistant.

In a couple of sentences, can you tell us a bit about your job at Christie Finance?

I help businesses source the finance they need to help their business thrive and grow.

What’s your favourite thing about Christie Finance?

The people. Everyone is really friendly and helpful, not just within Christie Finance but the wider group too. I like that you can pick up the phone to anyone and they will always be willing to help.

What’s been the biggest challenge of your career so far?

Returning from Mat Leave and finding my feet again whilst also in the depths of sleep deprivation

How has the industry changed since you started at Christie Finance?

When I joined Christie Finance, we were just at the start of the Base Rate increases and at the end of CBILS and Bounce back Loans so there was the challenge of helping clients understand the market.

Tell us a bit about your life outside work – what are your hobbies?

I have 2 children who are both under 5 so my hobbies currently involve a lot of soft play, building train tracks and being a snack provider.

What’s your hometown? Where do you live now?

My hometown is Sheffield where all of my family still live. In 2013, I moved to North Wales and live just outside of Chester, over the Welsh border.

Where’s the best place you’ve been on holiday?

Probably Mexico, I would love to go back soon.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

People who don’t know how to use their indicators, or the correct lane on a roundabout.

What would be your desert island meal?

I would start with a plate of cheese and crackers,  followed by a chicken pathia curry and I would finish with a giant trifle. Washed down with Prosecco

What’s your favourite film?

Either Horrible Bosses or Inception, both very different films so it’s hard to pick!

Tell us your favourite joke / What is your favourite movie quote?

What do you call cheese that not yours? It’s Nacho Cheese

What is one thing on your bucket list?

I would love to swim with Whale Sharks but I need to learn to swim first…

What is your biggest fear?

Spiders! – I have been known to nearly climb out of the office window when one was nearby!
