Canterbury Guest House sold to first time operators
Four star accredited Harriet House on the outskirts of Canterbury city centre has been sold through specialist property adviser, Christie & Co, with funding secured through commercial finance broker, Christie Finance.
The sizeable detached property which is located on Broad Oak Road, just a 15 minute riverside walk from the city centre, was originally sold through Christie & Co back in 2009 to experienced operators, Terry Fulton & Chris Baillie, who are now moving on to pastures new.
New owners, Paul Hayter and Heidi Griffin, who are first time operators, used the brokerage services of Christie Finance to help fund the purchase of the business and John Mitchell, Director at Christie Finance comments on the deal, “It was great to help Paul and Heidi to get the keys to their first B&B business. Paul grew up in hotels run by his family and will bring a great mixture of experience and new ideas to help Harriet House grow even further in popularity."
Andrew Moore, Director at Christie & Co’s Maidstone office who handled the sale comments, “There remains a strong appetite for hotels and guest houses in Canterbury and we are delighted to have brokered the sale to Paul and Heidi and wish them all the best with growing the business.”
