Christie Finance supports experienced business owner in relocation of Hednesford pharmacy
Specialist commercial finance broker, Christie Finance, has supported Shawbirch Limited in purchasing the goodwill of the Co-Op Pharmacy in Hednesford, Staffordshire, and in relocating it to a more prominent high street premises nearby.
The well-established standard hours pharmacy sits in the historic town of Hednesford within Cannock Chase district. It is open 58 hours per week and operates on strong NHS-based sales, dispensing circa 7,250 items per month.
The pharmacy has been acquired by Shawbirch Limited which is operated by Director, Mr Balbir Ram. An experienced Pharmacist and businessman, Mr Ram previously established a pharmacy business which he later sold in order to pursue other ventures. He now wishes to return to pharmacy ownership and sees this Co-Op Pharmacy as an ideal opportunity due to its strong foundations and future potential.
Mr Ram plans to rename the business, ‘Hednesford Pharmacy’, and will look to enhance the range of services on offer to provide further value and benefit to the local community.
David Ward, Senior Director at Christie Finance, brokered the deal and comments, “This is a tremendous opportunity for a hugely experienced pharmacist, such as Balbir, to take over an established pharmacy in Hednesford and really maximise its potential. I look forward to seeing Balbir make this a huge success and wish him the very best.”
