Cumbria Inn changes hands thanks to Christie Finance
The Sun Inn, located in the small town of Kirby Lonsdale, has new owners thanks to the assistance of specialist commercial finance broker, Christie Finance. The new owners will be the ex General Manager of Novotel Manchester, Iain Black, who will be running the business with his wife, Jennifer.
The business is a 17th Century restaurant and public house with 11 en-suite letting bedrooms and is a popular stop for tourists visiting the area. This passing trade has generated high TripAdvisor Ratings for the business and this helped it immediately stand out to Iain as a great opportunity.
Iain has over 25 years experience in the hospitality industry, with his position since 2002 being General Manager of the 165 bedroom Novotel Hotel in Manchester City Centre.
The Inn was sold through specialist property adviser, Christie & Co and Scott Murcott, Finance Consultant at Christie Finance, helped secure the funding from a High Street lender.
Commenting on the deal, Scott said, "This is another good example of a funded pub sale illustrating the continued appetite from lenders to support licensed businesses. I am delighted I was able to help Iain and Jennifer secure this wonderful Inn and I know they will take it to new heights of success."
