New life for Dorset Pub
Stokeford Inn, located in the village of East Stoke, Dorset has new owners thanks to the funding arranged through specialist commercial finance broker, Christie Finance. The new owners will be Elizabeth Salmon, who will be running the business alongside her husband, Simon.
The business is a traditional freehold village inn with a long history in the village. The pub has been operating on reduced opening hours and is a prime opportunity for an energised operator that could develop the full potential of this business.
Elizabeth and Simon have a history of working in London pubs and were looking for the right pub to come onto the market to buy. Matt Kavanagh, Finance Consultant at Christie Finance, initially made contact back in 2015 to help arrange them funding to buy.
When the couple found the Stokeford Inn, they approached Matt to help them through the whole process of getting funding. Matt arranged a bespoke facility that was also secured against two investment properties.
Commenting on the deal, Matt said, "The Stokeford Inn is a great opportunity for Elizabeth and Simon and I am delighted that I could help them buy their first pub and give this traditional village pub a new lease of life. So far in 2017, Christie Finance has helped multiple first-time buyers and pub tenants buy their first pub.
