White Rose Guest House is based in a thriving coastal town which enjoys an array of local amenities. Perched only a short distance from the town centre, the guest house sits a stroll away from the award-winning Filey Bay.

The guest house comprises five en-suite guest rooms within a modern property offering spacious accommodation for its guests.

The departing owners, who have decided to retire, have maintained White Rose Guest House well as a lifestyle business for a number of years, which in turn has earned the best rating on Trivago of all guest houses in Filey. James and Alison Fox have acquired the White Rose Guest House and are looking to continue the business’s legacy.

James is an experienced IT professional having worked as a developer. He has also worked as a project manager and has taken up various roles, including marketing, at his brother’s guest house in York. James has obtained qualifications in the catering industry and is generally enthusiastic about being a chef. He will now take up the role of chef at White Rose Guest House and will act as a full-time hotel manager with the assistance of additional staff.

Alison, on the other hand, has experience working in various customer service roles. She has also co-owned a successful business and has run her own equine facility, both providing her with extensive managerial experience.

The acquiring partners are looking to implement some adjustments to the guest house. They have plans to develop the business’s viability by letting out all five rooms over ten months of the year. There are also plans to increase marketing efforts, with the business currently only placed on Booking.com, by looking at more online travel agents such as Expedia and Airbnb.
