The Adam & Eve Pub in Lincoln aided by Christie Finance
The long-term leaseholders of The Adam & Eve pub in Lincoln have now become the owners thanks to Christie Finance.
The Jones family have been able to buy the freehold of the pub, which they have run since 2004 thanks to assistance from Christie Finance, which assisted them with funding to support the purchase by sourcing the required commercial mortgage.
The popular public house was built in 1701 and is located in close proximity to Lincoln Cathedral. The property has undergone significant refurbishment in recent years and has enjoyed a new lease of life under the Jones’ management.
After being under the stewardship of the Jones’ for 12 years, the business’ previous owner put the freehold on the market and the Jones’ acted quickly to purchase the freehold to secure the future of their business.
Stuart Pawelczyk, Associate Director at Christie Finance, assisted the clients and presented the business in the most beneficial way to generate high interest from lenders and secure them the finance required.
Commenting on the deal, Stuart said, “It was a great pleasure to help the Jones family obtain the funding to secure the freehold of the business that they have invested so much time in developing. I’m sure this will allow the business to go from strength to strength.”
New owner Alex Jones said, “We would like to thank Christie Finance for arranging the commercial mortgage on the Adam & Eve. From the moment we made contact they made the process simple and stress free.”
“Arranging finance in today's climate is not an easy task but Christie Finance took the hassle out of it. Having leased the pub for 12 years it is great to now own the freehold, which will hopefully secure many more successful years of trading.”
